Is there a set-up fee for Pleasant Tickets?
To get your system operational, there is no set-up fee.
To set up events/ticket creation, we make it easy for you: the program is easy-to-use, and we provide free training. However, if you wish, we are happy to set up your event at a low hourly cost.
There is a one-time, per venue, setup cost to create a clickable, reserved-seating map. This cost is dependent on the size of the venue and the number of seats, but, as a rule of thumb, it is usually about $0.50 per seat (less for smaller venues). For clients who have longer term contracts, this charge may be waved. We would be happy to provide you a quote once we get your full venue specifications.
Is there an annual license or maintenance fee?
Not usually. However, if you wish to move from a per-ticket fee to a longer term agreement and prefer this method of cash-flow management, we would be happy to consider the monthly-fee option.
What fees are charged to the customer and how much control will your organization have over setting those fees?
We do not charge any service fees to your customers. However, our system is completely flexible, and if you would prefer to move some of your fees (e.g. venue, service, delivery, etc.) to the purchaser, you have the option to do so. Payment to Pleasant Tickets can be taken from either the proceeds of the ticket face value, or from add-on service fees – it’s your choice. We typically invoice monthly based on per ticket sales.

If you prefer to use Pleasant Solutions’ processor, we can facilitate that request.

If your event is infrequent (e.g., once a year or a one-off, month long event), Pleasant Tickets will include the use of our equipment in the proposal.
If your event(s) happen frequently, it is probably more cost effective to purchase equipment (it keeps our costs down so we can keep your ticket fees low). In most cases, purchase requirements are limited, since computers and laser printers are often available at the box office. Equipment such as thermal printers and scanners may be purchased. Pleasant Solutions can arrange for purchases behalf of clients and help with setup.
Does the system have barcode capabilities, and will your organization need to rent or purchase barcode scanners?
The Pleasant Ticket system provides a complete ticketing solution which incorporates barcodes on all tickets. By using barcodes, each ticket can be scanned at the door so that reconciliation of ticket sales and usage can be handled automatically by the system. Secondly, using barcodes ensure the same ticket cannot be printed and used multiple times.
Pleasant Tickets highly recommends using the barcode and ticket scanning capabilities. As mentioned in the previous question, we can either provide the scanning equipment or arrange for purchase, depending on your requirements.
